Therapy for High-Achieving Women in Park City
You've built a life most people dream of. But underneath the success, the house on the mountain, and the packed calendar — something isn't working. I help women in Park City untangle the anxiety, perfectionism, and quiet exhaustion that comes with keeping it all together.
I live and practice in Park City.
I'm Dr. Jaime Bercuson — a licensed psychologist based right here in Park City. I trained at the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium and have spent nearly two decades working with women who look like they have everything figured out but privately feel like they're barely holding on.
I understand Park City. The altitude, the pace, the social dynamics of a small resort town where everyone seems to be thriving. The pressure to perform — at work, at home, on the trail, at the school fundraiser. I chose to build my practice here because this community deserves a psychologist who truly gets it.
The things Park City women don't talk about at drop-off
High-Functioning Anxiety
You're the one everyone leans on — organized, capable, always on. But the mental chatter never stops, and you can't remember the last time you felt genuinely relaxed. Not just "sitting still" relaxed — actually at ease.
Perfectionism
The house, the kids, the career, the body, the dinner party — nothing is ever quite right. You set the bar impossibly high and punish yourself when you can't clear it. You know this pattern isn't sustainable, but you can't seem to stop.
Burnout & Overwhelm
You're running on fumes but you keep going because who else is going to do it? You've lost touch with what you actually want underneath all the obligations. The exhaustion feels physical now — not just mental.
Perimenopause & Mood Changes
The anxiety hit out of nowhere — or maybe it got louder. Sleep disruption, irritability, brain fog, a sense that you're losing yourself. Hormonal shifts are real, and they deserve more than "just push through it."
Life Transitions
A move to Park City, kids leaving for college, a career pivot, a relationship that's shifting. Change — even wanted change — can trigger anxiety you didn't expect and grief you don't have language for yet.
The Weight of Having It All
You have the life people envy and you still feel empty, anxious, or quietly resentful. Saying that out loud feels ungrateful. It's not. It's honest — and it's the starting point for real change.
Evidence-based therapy, not vague advice
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — two of the most researched and effective approaches for anxiety. CBT produces large effect sizes (g > 0.80) for anxiety disorders. These aren't abstract theories; they're practical, structured frameworks that give you tools you can use between sessions.
I also take a whole-person perspective — paying attention to how stress shows up in your body, your sleep, your hormones, and your relationships. Anxiety doesn't exist in a vacuum, and neither does healing.
Sessions are 50 minutes via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You can be at home in Deer Valley, in your car after school pickup, or in your office at Kimball Junction — wherever you have privacy and a reliable connection.
